The Lodge at Doonbeg in County Clare, Ireland has announced the appointment of Ray Kearney as Sales and Marketing Director. The move is a promotion for Kearney, who joined the 5-star resort on the Western coast of Ireland, as Marketing Manager in August 2009.

In his new role, Kearney will oversee all sales and marketing efforts for The Lodge at Doonbeg in North America, Ireland and Europe. His chief responsibility will be to create and implement innovative strategies for drawing group and individual travelers to experience the beauty and culture of Ireland.

Prior to joining The Lodge at Doonbeg, Kearney was Business Development Manager at Avvio.com, which specializes in enhancing online revenues for hotels
