Whites Hotel in Wexford are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our management team in the key role of Reservations/Revenue Manager in leading the reservations team in maximizing room revenue in this very busy 157 bedroom hotel. Located in the Sunny Southeast, Whites of Wexford attracts a wide range of business from leisure breaks, corporate business, large scale conference and events to local food and beverage business so the successful candidate will be joining an exciting and fast moving environment. 
 

Scope of the Position: 

To ensure maximum revenue is achieved on any given day by using yield management techniques. To achieve & where possible exceed the budgets & targets within the departmentTo manage all elements of revenue and reservations management.

Responsible to: General Manager and Group Revenue Team

Duties include;

    • To achieve the budget as set out on a monthly period, ensuring the profitability of the departments is built on.
    • To ensure the best practices in yield management are in place and the maximum revenue is achieved on any given day.
    • To manage rates & availability on all distribution channels.
    • To manage all the systems involved in the sale of rooms.
    • To ensure rate parity across all distribution channels, or as instructed by the Group Revenue Manager.
    • To carry out weekly/monthly meetings at property level.
    • To maintain very good communication with the Group Revenue Team.
    • To assist in the development of standard policies & procedures for the reservations department and ensure they are followed.
    • To compile rosters & carry out training with the team.
    • To assist the front office manager in ensuring the reservation team are trained on all elements of their role, To help create and implement a departmental training plan so as to develop the staff and maintain standards.
    • To attend seminars /cluster meeting/ training courses as required.
    • To compile with central office reporting structure, daily, weekly & monthly.
    • To agree sales initiatives with the Sales Manager to maximise Room Revenue.
    • To carry out any other duties as directed by the General Manager.

 The successful candidate will have:

  • 2 plus years’ management experience in Front Office/Reservations roles
  • Relevant business related qualification.
  • Customer centred approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent people management & communication skills.
