Sales Executive Required for 4* South Dublin Hotel
The Royal Marine Hotel is currently recruiting for a Sales Executive to join our team for a 1 year period covering maternity leave. In this challenging role the Sales Executive will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving revenue budgets of the hotel through business development.
Job Purpose:
To develop new business and be responsible for managing the relationship and penetration of major accounts in an effort to increase revenue for group, leisure. corporate and conference business
Duties and Responsibilities:
Research the need areas of consumers and hotels and translate that into an effective marketing plan. Implement the marketing plan using proper marketing vehicles. Monitor the marketing plan by evaluating the effectiveness of the results against forecasted goals. Critique/analyse past marketing programmes.
Monitor the sales production for all areas of the hotel. Analyse statistics and make appropriate decisions.
To ensure the Social Media plan is actioned and that new and creative ideas are continually explored.
Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts for group, catering business. Maintain current business relationships and network for new business within accounts both in Ireland and Oversees.
Co-ordinate with hotel for site inspections/fam trips. Ensure follow through and property ‘buy in’ on customer service needs.
To build relationships with journalists and develop PR for the Hotel
Participation in Sales activities including but not limited to:
-Sales Trips & Appointments
-Tradeshow Attendance
-Telesales
-Corporate Hospitality
-Familiarisation Trips
-Site Inspections
-Presentations
Work alongside team enabling them to conduct effective sales programmes in established group and transient markets for team and self by:
Responding to customer inquiries and requests for pricing and group rates effectively and within department time guidelines.
Track all leads (lost and turned down).
Conduct research on client room night/revenue performance, prepare Account Performance Report and conduct semi-annual account review meetings internally and with clients.
Conduct market research and understand transient and group strategies of competitors
Competition shopping for rates, benefits and key account activity in competitor hotels.
Achieve established revenue goals and report at weekly Sales Meeting to the General Manager
Be able to solicit new accounts, as well as maintain and grow existing accounts business.
Present ideas, expectations and information in concise, well-organised manner that will demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
Involvement in the Business Planning and Budgeting process
