Irelandhotels.com Value Breaks to be Launched in the UK

Dear Colleague,

The Irish Hotels Federation is delighted to announce that the Value Breaks Initiative on Irelandhotels.com will also now be promoted to the UK Market from week commencing 23rd February.  In order to increase business from this market, the IHF has decided to guarantee UK customers a conversion rate of €1 = £0.87, up until the end of March 2009.  At this point, the IHF will review the currency conversion rate.

As part of this promotion, the Value Breaks section will be promoted at all major service stations in the UK alongside the Be Our Guest Guide.  The Value Breaks section will also be promoted in the national press through Tourism Ireland and advertisements on the social network website Facebook.com.

If you have already loaded packages for the Value Breaks section, you do not need to alter anything as this conversion rate will automatically apply.  If you wish to opt out of the UK promotion of the Value Breaks please email info@ihf.ie.  

There will be four categories of breaks available to consumers (two new packages have been added - 2 Nights B&B and 3 Nights B&B):

(Supplements will apply in July & August.  Value Breaks - £20pps, 4 Star Breaks - £20pps, 5 Star Breaks - £30pps)

If you have not already loaded rates for this initiative please log on to the IMC to load applicable packages (All package prices will be automatically converted into Sterling).  In order to opt-in to this initiative please follow these steps:

• Log on to the IMC
• Click on Management
• Click on Sales Channels
• Opt-in to Value Breaks

You will then need log back in to the IMC to load your packages.  In order to do this please follow these steps:

• Click on Inventory
• Select Value Breaks
• Click Add Value Break

There will be a charge of 10% commission on all Value Breaks bookings.  The normal commission rate of 3.5% commission will be paid to In1 Solutions, while the remaining 6.5% commission will be used to fund the future marketing of this initiative.
