Networking Event for Midland’s Tourism Providers

Bloomfield House Hotel this week ran and hosted a Tourism Networking Event. The event was an opportunity for the Midland’s tourism providers and festival organisers to network, share ideas, work together and discover how Bloomfield House Hotel is promoting local tourism. The objective for this event was to inform providers of each others product and provide an opportunity to package the other tourist attractions with their own unique offerings.

Speaking about the event, Bloomfield House Hotel’s Sales and Marketing Manager Oliver Gaffey said: “This event created a great opportunity for the Midland’s tourism providers to meet each other, network and develop partnerships. We have so many amazing attractions in the Midlands and this event was an ideal occasion to help tourism businesses work together in showcasing the Midlands as a superb tourism destination.”

The tourism providers were briefed on how Bloomfield House Hotel is working to promote local tourist attractions to their guests. These include a dedicated page on the hotel’s website for each local attraction, tailored hotel packages bundled with local attractions, tourism information in guest bedrooms and at reception, promoting events on social media, selling the area as a whole at trade fairs and recommendations to guests by staff.

The evening commenced with an arrival drinks reception followed by traditional BBQ fare with a great salad selection and fresh breads, all enjoyed in the fresh air overlooking Lough Ennell.

“Working together and promoting each others products is very beneficial to the local tourism industry. We were delighted to be in a position to host this networking evening and to facilitate the opportunity to promote local tourism” said Maria O’Reilly, Sales Manager at Bloomfield House Hotel.
