St Patrick’s Festival and IHF Dublin Branch Announce Partnership


Dublin 4th September 2019: St Patrick’s Festival is delighted to announce the Dublin Branch of the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) as Official Accommodation Partner for the festival. The partnership celebrates the enormous contribution that the festival makes to Irish culture and tourism and the role Dublin hotels play in extending a very warm Irish welcome to millions of visitors to the city each year, ensuring they have a truly memorable experience.

In conjunction with IHF members, the new programme has been developed in direct response to industry needs and covers the law pertaining to the misuse of drugs, ensuring that venues are totally compliant with current legislation, as well as giving them industry best practice guidelines. Cork hotelier Michael Magner has acquired full ownership of the historic Vienna Woods Hotel, along with his father in law Mr Brian Scully, having bought out the Fitzgerald family, for an undisclosed sum.

Ballygarry Bids a Fond Farewell to Cathal Nugent After 30 Years of Service


There was great joy and sadness in Ballygarry House Hotel as Deputy General Manager, Cathal Nugent retired after 30 years of service

Celebrating a career spanning three decades, management and colleagues gathered for a retirement party in the hotel and speaking at the event, Padraig McGillicuddy, Owner of Ballygarry House said that it was a pleasure working with Cathal.
