Key Duties & Objectives

  • To work with the Business Development Manager to identify, solicit and convert new opportunities in all market segments in accordance with the hotel sales strategy
  • To manage an agreed list of accounts on behalf of the hotel, and be responsible for the development of the revenue levels from these accounts. To recognise and capitalise on all opportunities from these existing businesses; to maintain them to their optimum level
  • To carry out research, prospecting and tele calls
  • To carry out sales calls and site inspections
  • To constantly recognise and develop new accounts from the local corporate market
  • Activity & the results achieved should be reported  on a monthly basis, including monthly corporate tracker report. A brief summary of sales activity should also be circulated weekly to General Manager and Operations Manager
  • To participate in the organisation of and attendance at Corporate Events for the hotel
  • To assist with marketing promotional materials as required
  • To assist with management of Sales & Marketing Expenditure budget as required
  • To assist with advertising as required
  • Preparation of Monthly Corporate Tracker
  • Ensure all sales visits, contacts and profiles are kept up to date in ACT
  • Represent the hotel at sales team meetings and other events as appropriate. To also attend training courses / seminars as required.
  • Assist with DM/EM campaign
  • Assist with promotion of Weddings and F&B outlets as well as targeting local social events
  • Attend Group consumer and trade promotions as required and schedule relevant individual promotions for the hotel

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified to Degree level
  • 2-3 years experience post qualification
  • Full Driving License
