Update on Fogging / Misting Devices

The Department of Agriculture has informed us that they have not registered or approved any disinfectant products for control of Covid-19 through fogging/misting/atomisation/aerosol devices.

Please note: It is a legal requirement for products such as sanitisers and disinfectants to be registered with the Department of Agriculture prior to being made available or used in Ireland. Use of such products should be in line with the method of use approved at product registration.

In light of this, we recommend that members who had planned to use such devices, now review and update their cleaning and disinfecting protocols accordingly.
