Knock House Hotel is trading very successfully now for nearly 15 years. Set in the Tranquil Village of Knock, this 68 Bedroomed, 3 Star Hotel, with 90 Seat All Day Restaurant, Busy Lounge Food, Banqueting for up to 120 Guests, is open all year round. It also offers Christmas & New Years Breaks.

We are seeking to appoint an Experienced Chef who will join our Successful Team & bring a new vibrancy to the Kitchen.

The ability to work on your own initiative is essential as is the ability to be a real Team player.

To assist in the Management of weekly Rosters & ensuring they are kept in line with the Business Requirements.

To assist the Head Chef with the ongoing Training of all staff in the Kitchen.

To comply with all Statutory, Legal Requirements, Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Licensing & Employment Law, ensuring you are not only well aware of these areas but also pro-active in the implementation of the Policies & Procedures at the Hotel.

The ability to achieve Budgeted Gross Profit through your Management of Menu Costing is also desirable.


Required Qualifications: 
Qualifications or Experience are essential in a similar Three Star,68 Bedroomed Hotel,with busy 90 Seat All Day Restaurant & Lounge Food Operation.Limited Banqueting for up to 120 Guests also.
Required Skills: 
To demonstrate the ability to run a Shift as the lead Chef on Duty, & direct the Commis/Kitchen Assistants to achieve the required standards in the Kitchen. A working knowledge of HACCP, Ordering, Rostering,are also desirable. This is a small but friendly & experienced Team & highly successful, so a Team Player is essential for the continued success of the Kitchen. Experience is essential,as is the ability to improve the product currently on offer.
