Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa is a 4 star, award winning, hotel and Spa overlooking the blue flag beaches of Inchydoney. Situated 2 miles outside of the busy seaside town of Clonakilty. Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa are looking to recruit a Wedding Co-Ordinator. This is a great opportunity to join the team at the exclusive Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa.

To deal with all enquiries in a professional manner, to ensure all events are co-ordinated to meet client expectations, maximise revenue potential and the space available.

  • Dealing with all initial enquiries and sending out quotations and sales packs for both day and evening functions
  • Creating the initial interest in the hotel and logging in Opera the inquiry or booking
  • Maintaining the wedding, Conference and Christmas Database.
  • Compiling of sales packs; conference and weddings and issuing of relevant packs into the post
  • Dealing with the daily amendments
  • Up-dating and maintaining of client files –in accordance with Hotel Standards
  • Co-ordinating meetings with clients for final details
  • Consistently following up bookings to convert into confirmed business
  • Follow through of own bookings until completion stage
  • Preparation of the function sheet
  • Conducting follow up calls/send email to all events that have taken place (Daily)
  • Chasing all decision dates and updating activity report
  • Conducts on-site client inspections and entertainment.
  • To carry out any duties requested by the sales team
  • Maximise revenue in relation to the average customer spend i.e. day delegate packages – up selling on menus, offering wine with event, upgrading of bedrooms

The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years in a similar position, preferably coming from a 4 star hotel background. The successful candidate must have exceptional computer skills, with Opera experience or a similar reservations system. Excellent telephone manner. Must be an excellent communicator with exceptional people skills. Must be calm and reliable under pressure.

Required Qualifications: 
Must be computer literate, preferably with Opera experience or a similar reservations system.
Required Skills: 
Previous experience in a similar position, preferably coming from a 4 star hotel background. Must have exceptional people skills and be an excellent communicator.
