Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes
  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Preparing meat and fish
  • Assisting with the management of health and safety
  • Assisting with the management of food hygiene practice
  • Monitoring portion and waste control
  • Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
  • Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurant’s service
  • Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods
  • Cleaning the kitchen at end of service

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Required Qualifications: 
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role. Up to date with current health food trends as well as forward thinking for future trend opportunities.
