The award winning Great National Abbey Court, Lodges and Spa located in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary is delighted to invite applications for the position of Corporate Sales Manager.

Key job tasks include;

  • Achieve booking goals by prospecting clients in the local hotel market
  • Identify, research and develop new clients in the local market
  • Arrange and conduct site visits/tours as required.
  • Maintain all phone and email contacts ensuring return of all calls and emails.
  • Ensure that all corporate contracts, billings,etc are processed accurately, through front offfice and hotel accounting process.
  • Check with group leaders during stay/function to ensure the hotel is meeting all their needs and service expectations are being met.
  • Other duties assigned by the General Manager.
Required Qualifications: 
As a minimum, the suitable candidate will have a relevant professional qualification, in addition to proven corporate sales and business development experience in the hotel industry. The candidate will be personable, presentable and articulate with strong sales administration and numeracy skills; will be computer proficient with an analytical and proactive approach to yield management.
Required Skills: 
Previous sales experience preferably in a hotel setting, handling corporate bookings or sales experience involving a contract booking procedure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with clients and hotel staff. Organisational/time management skills, with the ability to successfully multi - task assignments. Strategic planning skills regarding sales, booking process, prospecting and following up on all sales leads. Understanding of sales contracts and experience in rate negotiations
