Small family owned hotel in the Midlands Laois / Kildare border, is seeking an

Operations Manager

You will be responsible for the effective management and performance of all areas in front and back of house in the hotel.

Quality, service and high standards are critical to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.

The successful candidate will have following responsibilities and key skills:

  •  To control and seek to reduce all operating costs of your department whilst maintaining standards set
  • Optimise sales in agreed areas and identify necessary action to achieve the set targets
  • Be a good team leader with excellent customer service & communication skills
  • Provide effective hands on leadership to the team to ensure business targets are met and exceeded
  • To ensure that the labour resource is planned effectively and costed, to meet the service criteria on any given day.
  • To manage the selection and training, in conjunction with our Standard of Service policy, of all team members required in all departments, to ensure that departmental standards and guest and owner expectations are met at all times.
  • Excellent communication, customer care & complaint handing skills
  • Stock management for food, beverage and all non-food products
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Fluent English
  • Reporting directly to the Owner

 The candidate should have prior experience as a Senior Duty Manager/ General Manager/ Duty Manager.
