The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years hotel reception experience, and also a working knowledge of Opera or a similar Front Office system.


The responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of the Reception Desk
  • To  ensure Reception employee standards are maintained at all times.
  • Deal with cash/ reservations/ guest queries and check in / out of guests
  • Deal with all guest queries
  • Upsell the hotel at all times
  • Deal with all payments insuring payments are balanced and accurate
  • Assisting with the training and supervision of junior team members
  • Tracking and monitoring weekly customer feedback
  • To ensure that the customer receives the highest service standards.
  • To create a warm and welcoming environment for the guest and to ensure all  Reception staff provides the same.
  • Ensure an efficient and friendly check in and out
  • Be a Friendly and welcoming person

This position involves day, evening and weekend work on a roster basis so flexibility is expected.
