Our hotel has a mix of business and leisure guests, and the redevelopment coupled with the high level of service delivery by our friendly, professional team members, means that the Carrigaline Court hotel is well placed in terms of positioning for those considering hotel stays in Cork.

As part of our ongoing development, the Carrigaline Court hotel is now seeking applications for the position of Sales and Marketing Executive.

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the Sales & Marketing Executive will support the hotel’s sales & marketing department. The successful candidate will be involved in developing and delivering an integrated marketing strategy across offline and online marketing channels to boost the hotel’s brand image and revenue. The role will focus on both customer acquisition and retention and will involve an omnichannel approach to executing campaigns, optimising activity to maximise return on investment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for developing an offline and online marketing strategy in line with company objectives, managing goals and reporting on results
  • Analyse and report performance metrics and data to Management and utilise metric results in formulating design content/activities
  • Formulate, direct, and coordinate digital marketing activities to support omnichannel sales
  • Liaising with and directing key external agencies and suppliers in order to deliver on the company objectives and goals
  • Managing and developing the company website
  • Reviewing and improving upon website SEO activity
  • Undertaking advertising activity including traditional ATL and paid for Social and PPC online advertising, planning activity accordingly and managing budgets.
  • Preparing and executing e-mail marketing campaigns.
  • Management of marketing databases and responsibility for being compliant with GDPR guidelines
  • Manage and curate all social media channels, including development and rollout of an activity schedule relating to posts and relating campaigns.
  • Grow and engage community members across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, trip advisor)
  • Develop creative content for rollout across multiple channels
  • Cooperating with rollout and development of hotel PR activities
  • Looking at maximising revenue opportunities across all channels and product categories
  • Attending weekly/ monthly sales performance meetings.
  • Work closely with colleagues on cross-departmental activity

The prospective candidates should have:

  • Marketing/ Business Degree, or equivalent qualification, in particular relating to digital activity.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry a distinct advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, providing practical business insights
  • Website content management experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Experience in manging online advertising activity such as PCC and Paid for Social channels
  • Social Media Management Experience
  • Experience in working on graphic design packages such as Adobe Creative Suite preferable
  • Hands on experience in using ERP or hotel PMS systems preferable.
  • Experience of working with budgets, in particular relating to digital activity
  • A good understanding of yield maximisation and hotel revenue management
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Exceptional time management, organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to multi-task and provide support to other areas of the hotel when required
  • A professional can-do approach to activity and to lead by example when performing duties.
