Refurbishing a boutique hotel in a seaside town comes with the challenge that the location sets expectations before a guest even walks through the door. The bedrooms have to match it.

That was the brief when Laura McBrinn and the team at The Majestic Hotel in Tramore, Co. Waterford came to us. They wanted rooms that felt luxurious and premium, true to their coastal setting, and built to last for years to come.

The Approach

From the outset, this was a full design, supply and install project. Our team completed five design visits and three project management site visits before a single piece was ordered, taking precision measurements, understanding the hotel's character, and designing every piece specifically for each room.

The result was a full suite of bespoke furniture: wardrobes, full-wall headboards in fabric and dark timber, custom desks, lockers, and made-to-measure benches for the family rooms. Every piece was sized exactly, finished in brass hardware and deep upholstery fabrics chosen for their durability as much as their aesthetic ensuring they’re easy to clean, built for high-traffic use, and designed to look just as good in year three.

The Challenge

Installation ran concurrently with other ongoing works in the hotel, with rooms needing to be returned on weekends throughout. Tight timelines and complex logistics required constant communication between our team and the hotel.
Our approach was straightforward: absorb the complexity, handle the issues ourselves, and deliver on schedule without burdening the client. That's what our professional installation team is there for.

The Result

The rooms delivered exactly what the brief asked for. And the clearest sign of a successful project?

Laura and the team are now working with us again on the hotel's function room and bar.
