Following early access testing at some of the world’s biggest companies, Copilot for Microsoft 365 has officially been rolled out to the masses and promises to change the way you work forever.

So, what is Microsoft Copilot for 365, how does it work, and is it really worth it?

What is Copilot for Microsoft 365?
Copilot for Microsoft 365 is an integrated AI tool that works specifically within the suite of Microsoft 365 apps to boost productivity, save time and make work easier for every user. It’s an intuitive tool that uses your data to learn how you work and provide you with accurate, personalised support and assistance that is grounded in context. This makes it more advanced than other AI models, like GPT-4, which search the web for answers and don’t have access to your company files or work patterns.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 learns who you are, what your role is and what your company does, and uses this context to streamline workflows and provide smart support that helps to automate time-consuming tasks. For example, you can ask Copilot to summarise the emails you missed whilst on annual leave, turn a Word document into a PowerPoint presentation, or even quickly find an internal file on SharePoint.
