MID-WEST TOURISM FUNDRAISING GALA DINNER & BALL

Celebrating an Independent Shannon Airport

The Shannon Branch of the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) is holding a Gala Dinner on Monday, 29th April 2013 as part of a drive to raise funds for local tourism initiatives in the Mid-West.

The Black Tie event, which will be held at the four-star Limerick Strand Hotel, is the first ever tourism gathering to celebrate the separation of Shannon Airport and the creation of a new tourism structure for the region. The event is open to all tourism businesses and organisations in the region and is an ideal social networking occasion.

“Attracting holidaymakers to the mid-west region remains a significant challenge for tourism businesses requiring a redoubling of efforts to promote the region as a vibrant and attractive destination,” says Matt Muller, Chairman of the IHF Shannon Branch. “We look forward to working closely with Shannon Airport and playing their part in marketing the airport as a tourism hub for wider Shannon region. Our local tourism fundraising drive is a key part of this wider effort.”
