The Castle Hotel - a historic Georgian Hotel in Dublin City Centre is looking for an experienced receptionist/administration assistant. The ideal candidate should be service driven and able to work in a busy environment dealing directly with our guests and also providing administrative assistance to front office and management teams.

Responsibilities include:

Greeting guests and dealing with queries in a friendly and efficient manner.
Checking guests in and out and ensuring guest bills are handled correctly.
Efficient handling of a busy switchboard and dealing effectively with telephone queries.
Handling of cash and balancing of cash registers at the end of each shift.
Dealing with bookings and requests for information by email.
Daily maintenance of availability via extranet systems.
Communicating closely with all departments to ensure efficient expedition of guest requests whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer care at all times.
Implementing and following hotel policies as outlined by management and any other duties arising.

Candidate requirements :

2 years experience in a Front office environment of a 3 or 4 star hotel.
Proficiency in Protel would be an advantage.
Excellent IT skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer care skills.

Weekend and shift work are required for this position. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. A third level qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
