Agility Hospitality is proudly celebrating its fifth anniversary this month, reflecting on five years of supporting hospitality businesses in improving operational efficiency and team performance. Founded by Tom McDermott, the company was established with a clear aim: to help hospitality teams streamline their processes and deliver greater value to guests and stakeholders.

Since its launch, Agility Hospitality has worked with a wide range of clients across Ireland and the UK. Its programmes have trained thousands of hospitality professionals through Continuous Improvement and Labour Management Workshops, and introduced the first Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt course specifically designed for the hospitality sector.

The team has spent considerable time observing operations and analysing labour utilisation in hotels, restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. This work has helped clients adopt a more data-informed approach to labour management—aligning staffing with demand and improving system efficiency.

Tom McDermott acknowledges the contribution of Agility’s associates, who have played a key role in delivering training, facilitating workshops, and providing analysis and support across the sector. Their efforts have helped build a foundation for ongoing improvement and more effective team engagement.

Looking ahead, Agility Hospitality remains focused on supporting hospitality organisations in developing practical, sustainable solutions that enhance both operational performance and guest experience.
