




The recent Watt Footprint Webinar brought together energy innovators and public sector support agencies to showcase how businesses can take control of their energy usage, reduce costs, and contribute to a greener future.

Isabelle Mooney from the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Westmeath outlined a suite of supports for small businesses, including:
- The Green for Business Programme: free consultancy to assess energy use.
- The Energy Efficiency Grant: up to €10,000 in funding for energy-saving equipment.
- Case studies showed real savings in retail and hospitality sectors, with grants covering up to 75% of project costs.
Kathleen Moore of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) detailed national supports for SMEs:
- Energy Audit Vouchers, Rapid Approval Grants, and Solar PV incentives.
- Tailored schemes like EXEED, SSRH, and Community Energy Grants.
- A strong focus on training, with free access to SEAI’s Energy Academy and Energy Management Workshops.
