The Village at Lyons is a venue destination on the banks of The Grand Canal between Newcastle Co Dublin and Celbridge Co Kildare. There has been a village on the site as long as the canal has been in existence.The village however had gone into deline and was derilict when Dr Tony Ryan , founder of Ryanair purchased the estate in the 1990's . When he discovered the ruins of the Village he set about restoring it to its present day glory and he opened a restaurant in the Village in the mid 2000's .
